PETA- Don't be fooled by this picture above....although Jason loves to have his hair done or "hair did" as we say in the south....
He's truly a hardened bear killer. :)Uncle Billy and Aunt Ali babysat last week while we went and got our long awaited new pet. It's the best kind. The kind that doesn't breathe. Jason shot this bear about two years ago in North Carolina. I just have to put this out there to clarify- this is the only animal my husband has ever shot. He's not a hunter but could not pass up the opportunity to encounter a bear on an exclusive bear hunting trip with his dad. And he got lucky and got to take take a 450 lb. black bear home with him. When we went to Grandma Allred's to pick-up the kids Jason had me drape the bear skin on him while he was on all fours and he crawled in. Let's just say screaming was heard miles away.

SO many posts.... you guys sure are exciting! But this is really cool. Not everyone can say they shot a bear - lucky J. I bet it costs a ton to get your bear skinned, huh?! It's worth it - totally awesome!

Wow, now thats a keepsake. Now whenever someone comes to your house you can say, "here's the bear that my baby daddy killed".
hmmm. not sure what to say.
I find it kind of disturbing actually, but that's just me. I'm no PETA activist, but I'm not sure I want a dead animal rug in my house.
With all that being said....I'm sure Jason is so proud!!! :) And, i'm sure the kids think he is awesome.
Crazy....That bear is huge, I wonder if Jason was a little nervous when shooting it. Are you going to use it as your new bed comforter, because seriously I think it would cover it! LOL Tell Jason congrats!
I totally forgot that Jason shot a bear. Wow that thing is huge! I want to come over and check it out.
