Little Cowgirl

Grandma Jewkes gave Ella a horseback riding gift certificate for her birthday last February. We just now redeemed it. It was quite the drive but well worth it. Ella was decked out in her cowgirl boots and practicing for "clicking" and "giddy-upping" all the way there. She got to do everything from brush the horse, clean out his hooves, saddle him, and then of course ride. After she rode for an hour, she got off solemnly and hugged the horses face for about 5 minutes. Then asked if she could go again. So cute. Thanks Grandma!

This picture says a thousand words.

What a great gift idea! You are right, that picture says a thousand words...it is very obvious that she LOVED that horse! Love that she not only got in some riding time, but she also saw that horses are a lot of work and need to be brushed, hooves cleaned etc.

so precious!!

Thanks for the little note from Ella. Avery loved it. Keep your eyes out from a letter from Avery soon. Maybe since we're moving, they can become pen pals. :)

Is it already time for you to have that baby?! Time sure flies when I'm on the other side of the country. :( I need to see a good pregnant picture of you.
