Happy Birthday Lincoln!!!

Sometimes I think these first few birthdays are really for the parents rather than the child. Case in point: Lincoln's birthday was actually the 14th, but we were in CO. Do you think he cared? No. So we celebrated today with Jason and Grandpa and Grandma Allred, and Uncle Jordan and friend. Grandma made him a "CARS" blanket which he couldn't be more thrilled with and is clutching it in bed as I type.
The last picture is my favorite. Here's why: when he first saw the cake I guess he just assumed it was entirely his. In fact, he claimed it with his open mouth and slobber. Oddly enough, the guests still wanted cake. So when I cut it to give them a peice, he pouted for several mintues. OH LINCOLN!! Did you really think you could stomach all that cake. Oh and I must explain the color. It's not a Mary Kary truck. It's supposed to be red but that never happened. It just really wanted to be pink. Oh well. Yeah for trying Mommy!

Nice cake! So yeah, I was chatting with your sister the other day. They live in my best friend's ward, Emily. So when are you going to visit your sister in Texas? I hear your family doesn't care for it too much around here. So what it's crazy hot in the summer.....but it's not that bad. Anyway, Tara is getting married VERY SOON!! Have you seen her blog lately? Really cute. Hope you're doing well. We officially got the internet installed today. Yippee!

Love the Mary Kay Truck. So funny. Yes, I also figured out red can't be done with food coloring. In fact it was on Spence's B-day cake. :)

Just caught up on all your posts. Your trip looked like a blast!

Hey, your truck cake looked better than my airlplane cake that I made for Josh. It is the effort that counts right? (and taste.)
Thank you for all your support and comments you leave on my blog. You would be amazed at how much they help me. I wish we could see you guys more often.
All our love.

this is off the subject and probably none of my business. but does your sister in law have cancer?
what a courageous person!! she seems so amazing.
i would love to talk to her someday. you should give her my email. jillbagley@mac.com
but im sure she has better things to do than be online chatting. i will keep her in my prayers.
